Seine Texte überzeugen durch fundierte Analyse der politischen und gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse. "Wenn der großartige Phil Ochs heute von den Toten auferstehen sollte, dann würde man ihn wahrscheinlich als 'den neuen David Rovics' begrüßen", sagte Andy Kershaw von BBC Radio. Das Gesamtwerk von David Rovics umfasst mehr als 200 Lieder, die sich mit verschiedenen politischen Themen beschäftigen -- von New Orleans bis Irland bis Somalia, von Falluja bis Jenin, von Apartheid bis zum Tahrir Platz. Seine Texte rütteln auf, reißen mit und überzeugen durch fundierte Analyse der politischen und gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse. David Rovics ist Mitglied der Industrial Workers of the World. Das Coop Antikriegscafe hat in den vergangenen Jahren bereits mehrere Konzerte mit David an verschiedenen Orten in Berlin veranstaltet.
